‘So you want to be a Christian?

There are many people today who will be on their annual pilrimage to Church today and over this Christmas Season. But you will not see them, perhaps at Easter until next year!

People go to Church or fellowship for many reasons, religiosity, tradition, lonliness, the food ect.

But true believers go because we love jesus, who chose us and set us free from our sinful pasts. We are in a one to one relationship daily with Him, reading and trying to apply the bible, praying and seeking the lost all around us.

In turn we are rejected, hurt, opposed, persecuted, bullied, even threatened and intimidated by those who reject the truth. But we have to forgive them and press, because some of us were one like that too.

Psalm 98:2,  Matthew 11:28-30,  Acts7:60-8:1, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 12.

Uncaring Humanity.

Christmas does not end with the birth of the baby Jesus, after all the commercial build up to this one special day of food, family, presents, arguments, lonliness, suicide and adultry?

People had to flee Bethlehem, after the birth and the visit of the Magi because mad King Herod was out to get rid of this child. In fact we see this everyday in the world, people keep rejecting the good news message of Jesus, with all sorts of excuses.

Herod was not the first, he is not the last and there will be more of the same to come. Pharoah of Egypt, the Turkish-Armenian genocide, the Crusades, Adolf Hitler, Phol Pot, Burundi-Rwanda.

Even this week there has been mass murders and another Burundi crisis is fermenting as humanity condems Paris and forgets about the rest of the world.

A God who Cares.

Jesus came to die for us, because God cares for us. He cares for those in need and the poor, He is able to use others to inspire them to service and us to who believe in Him.

The world is full of do gooders, who moan about why? why? does God not do this and that, stop so and so?

God does not fit in our pockets, it is rather we who believe in Him fit into His.

Isa/Isus/Jesus/Yeshua-Immanuel.

We tend to forget sometimes who Jesus is and His relationship to all those visitors who came to address and acknowledge Him in Bethlehem, just outside Jerusalem.

The shepherds were perhaps the lowest in society of their day, they were undesirable men and yet Jesus ancestor King David of Israel started in these humble beginnings.

We must never loose sight of the Good News Message, that Jesus died for all of humanity. Because he is the Great Shepherd and the Lamb that was slain for our Sins.

Luke 2:8-20,  1 Samuel 17:20, 28, 34-35,  2 Samuel 7:8,  Psalm 23:1, 78:70-71,  Mark 6:34,  John 3:16-17.

Causing Offense.

it is so easy to hurt other people when we are trying to share the Gospel message and tell others, even some Christians that they are not walking with God.

The bible tells us very clearly that we are all sinners, who need the love of Jesus in our lives and that we need to turn from our failure and follow Him.

Preparing for Christmas in fellowship is about getting the message out, modern technology is fantastic and its well worth using it. But sometimes the old ways of knocking on doors and talking to people are just as effective.

Many people are in need today and our sincerity seen will encourage them to try ‘Church this season. This may be for some of them a life changing experience?

Death Cults. Part-One.

ISIL/ISIS.

It has all happened again for Paris, France and it is happening also in many former french colonies. Thousands of people going about everyday business from work to entertainment are being murdered by these ‘Death Cults.

We tend to be blinded in the hype of the Media, when we fail to hear what Muslims are trying to tell us ‘That these people have nothing to do with our religion.’

There are as many Cults connected to Christianity, as any other religion or not. They all twist teachings to suit their own IDEOLOGY and they make great boasts of their ability to create the perfect UTOPIA. It all sounds familure, does it not!

Jesus is the only answer to the problems in this world, if we would only stop this Christmas season and listen and choose Him? What a change for the better that would be!

Revelations of the secret Services.

We have been snooped on now for some years by the Secret Services, but whatever law was required to be changed has to help them and justify their actions. In the light of terrorism in Egypt and across the globes, one sees the need to monitor peoples activity on line.

The rise of child sexual exploitation and financial scams to perhaps even raise funds for terrorism needs to be seriously considered. Every nationa has a secret service and a lot of their work is far more sinister that the action packed James Bond. There are some seriously evil people in this world who have a calous attitude to life itself.

Thers are many claims to civil rights and to privacy, but we should realise by now that our banks sell our data all over the place and so do all our utilities. So their is no longer any things hidden. Only God is the one who hides things and at the moment that is the man of Intrigue who will be revealed in the last times.

Controlled Media.

This week has seen the great hype about security in Sinai Egypt, after the unknown tragic loss of a Russian airliner last Saturday with 224 people on board. The British government and some European nations have joined in claiming that it was a bomb and the terminology of evacuation is being used for todays returned charter flights.

Yesterday London and many other cities saw the Million Masked March, were police resources by magic were deployed to control the situation (Rioting). Yet there are not enough police to deal with everyday crime from burgalry to muggings.

The Media is reporting untruths, nearly about everything just as George Orwell said in his 1984 novel and there are many other writers such as Phillip K. Dick and Ray Bradbury who warn that a state can quicly turn from free to Tolitarian in the blink of a unsuspecting eye.

The bible tells us that in the last days it will be very hard for believers to share and live their faith!

Undeniable Truth.

When the Church accepts what the bible calls a sin into their ranks, they are in opposition to God. Modern terms may call it lifestyle. But when we become believers we turn away from Sin, we are accepting the attitudes of God.

The bible tells us that for each generation things around them are going to get worse, before the end and the Lords return. Many will grow cold and turn away from the truth.

Let me put all this another way, if you were a thief you now will steal no more!

Scientists who have Faith. Part-One.

Christians.

Many of the past leading scientists of the day, who have made some of the most prolific discoveries in human history in the last six hundered years were born again Christians.

Today within the scientific and medical comunirt global there a millions of believers working hard to find breaktrhoughs across the field.

We tend not to hear much about them in the media, unless they fall into some serious form of sin!

But it is their faith that pushes them on to ask the question in relation to the Universe, that upsets many. ‘Perhaps we are all alone after all?
