War. Part-Two.

Remembrance Sunday.

On the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th November 1918 the first World War of the 20th Century ended. Million of British and allied soldiers had died, in what seemed a pointless war. Twenty years later over 100 million people would die in another World War (1939-45). The first world war saw the introduction of the tank and the use of mustered gas. the second would see mass areal bombing, missiles and atomic weapons.

Thousands of veterans will walk through central London on Sunday morning and our Queen Elizabeth-II will lay wreaths to the fallen. Among the dead are the 12 million civilian’s Jews and Chinese who died in work and death camps, some being medically experimented on.

Jesus told His followers not to be worried about wars, because they were inevitable. Mark 13:7

The condition of our hearts are selfish and sinful. Romans 3:23, 6:23.

At the end we need to know on Judgement Day were we will be standing with God.   John 3:16-21,   Acts 4:12.

War. Part-One.

Men go to war with each other for all sorts of reasons, some are minor while others are more serious.

The first battle or war is mentioned in Genesis 3:15 between Satan and God. So it is not just mans failings weaknesses and sin that leads us to attack each other. Exodus 14:13-14. War has been an instrument used by God to judge the nations.

Many people today seek to find peace, to reconcile and these are fine moral objectives, but the bible tells us that Satan is very good at peace too. That is how at the end of the age he will deceive the nations. Revelation 20:3, 8.

Our Inheritance. Part-Three.

The Cure.

Faith cannot be measured, we can only pass comment or judge by what we see in another. But God is the only one who can see the heart and the conditions, the motives within us all.  Hebrews 4:12-14,  Psalm 33:13-17.

Humanity has inherited Sin and failure and there are so many bad aspects within those categories, that science can neither detect, identify or remove. But God has provided us with a way out, a way to see ourselves as we really are and rely upon Him to help us.  John 3:15-17,  Luke 4:18,  Revelation 1:5.

Our Inheritance. Part-Two.

Failure.

I suppose you could say that failure is Sin, but failure does carry the reality of the condition we suffer from. Failure is humanities terminal illness, with no cure.  John 8:34, 16:9.

God is merciful, that is one of His many attributes. God has been so merciful to humanity, that He sent his one and only son Jesus into the world to save us. Salvation for eternity and heaven come from our trusting in Jesus now, today. we must believe that he died for us, and rose from the dead on the third day.  John 3:16-21, Mark 15:21-32,  Mark 16:1-11, Phillippians 2:5-11.

Our Inheritance… Sin. Part-One.

With all the breakthroughs today in modern science, medicine and the discovery of the wonders of DNA humanity still has a problem that of Sin. It is one of the key conditions that makes us human, it is inherited from generation to generation and so far nothing has been found to heal us of it.   Sin is a condition that even remains with all who have trusted in Jesus, the difference in belief we have the understanding to cope with the selfishness of our hearts.  Genesis 4:6-10,   1 John 2:1-2.

Charles Darwin. Part-Three.

In getting away from the debate on creationism, we find that Darwin’s cousin Richard Dalton adapted the ideas in ‘Origin of the species to justify the classification of races in Eugenics. This science may have worked well in British imperial expansion thought, but it was to lay the foundation for the Nazi-German Holocaust of 1938-45.  It also laid the basis for the policy of Apartheid in South-Africa.

What started as a young mans rebellion against God, has led to other fanatics killing and enslaving millions of people. This does not say ‘that man did not make his own choices, but the science of eugenics will continue to be an excuse for any forms of racial cleansing.  Judges 12:6,  James 2:2-5.

Charles Darwin. Part-Two.

Charles Darwin did get it wrong, but today science has come to an almost religious position on the origin of species by denying the possibility of any other form of intelligent life in the universe being different from that of the  humanoid form.

Something has happen happened to change the earth since its creation? Science continues to deny the biblical flood, when there is so much evidence geologically to prove it. But it is of course what you know and believe and how you read the signs that helps you deny other possibilities. Genesis chapter 6.

Charles Darwin. Part-One.

This man’s concepts on creationism has, is and will lead to much debate between monotheistic religions (who all share different interpretations of the same book, Holy Bible, Koran and Tanahk) and science.

The ‘origin of species’, now generally being slowly accepted by the main stream scientific community as not being quite right. This is the beginnings of the tearing down of Charles Darwin, because of his own religious experience. After the death of his wife, he was confronted by the bible. and in this experience he discovered that all the questions that had perplexed him most of his life were to be found in the book of the Hebrews.  Hebrews 11:3.

Can a Christian be Nationalistic? Part-Two.

How about another question. Can a believer in Jesus be a racist?

Many people today have refused to leave their baggage with the Lord and continue to carry it with them in to the life of the ekklesia, without even thinking that they are not in a full and real relationship with God. Racism is an ever evil in every society on the planet, but it should not be in the Church?

What is our excuses to holding on to these views, when we claim to have faith in the Jewish Messiah. Would it not be better to change our attitudes before Jesus and move on with Him.

Can a Christian be Nationalistic? Part-One.

It is said today we live in such a liberal society, that we can be anything we want to be?

But is this really true?  Can Born-again Believers really be anything or do we have to live our lives to Jesus standards and follow Him?  Many hold on to their baggage, instead of letting go, the prejudices, racism, arrogance and nationalism. But is God is not like us and He does not want this earthly things to block, especially our witness of Jesus to a lost world.

John 3:16,  James 2:2-6,   1:14,   19-20.
