The Darkness. One.

Exodus and Easter.

God made His presence known on these two important occasions of deliverance for His people Israel from their slavery in Egypt and for our individual deliverance by Jesus shedding of blood on the cross/stake/tree for our sins!

God in His character is not dark, but rather pure light, truth and holiness and without sin, but we are told something of that dwelling place that we can never enter and that is a place of darkness!

This time of the year should be one of reflection on our own calling and salvation, while also hoping and praying for those lost around us that they might see the light that Jesus offers and turn to Him in confession and repentance of their own failures, seeking His forgiveness?

Quake n’ Shake!

The power of God?

For the first time in our lives we experienced a 4.4 minor earthquake in the U.K. on Saturday 17th February at 214pm, for many of us it was a tremendously scary   experience and ones heart goes out to all who have to live through much stronger ones!

The slippage of the crust is an area that is out of human control and prediction, much can be learned after the event but not before it?

It shows us that we are really very little and that God is very much in control of everything here and throughout the universe!

‘Love is in the Air?’

Its that time of the year again when couples express their love for each other, cards, red roses, and the special romantic meal?

This has become the love of the world, it is based on emotions, lust and selfishness and dressed up to mean something it is not!

But the Love of God for us sent Jesus to give His life so that we would be set free from the curse of the Law! Jesus love in our hearts makes us take responsibility to care and be concerned for others, over that of advantage or even thanks from them!

GENOCIDE!

Systematic Murder?

The Nazi-German Holocaust of 1931-45 was not a spur of the moment outrage, it was rather a systematic planned annihilation of European Jewry! Since World War-II there have been many Genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda and several other nations, but they were nearly all a spur of the moment, great anger and hatred expressed?

Humanities ability to kill on mass is nothing new and we may see more in our own lifetimes the evil expressed by the human heart? Even today we hear that N-Korea wants to nuke the U.S., Iran hopes one day to eradicate the State of Israel?

These attempt’s may happen, but in relation to Israel evil plans that are a foot will fail, just as Hitler committed suicide, we have seen Hussein die in a hole in the ground followed by Gaddafi and so it goes on!

The cost of Refusing?

Life is what we make it and death is something like birth, we have no choices in the matters? But what most religions fail to tell their believers is the truth, about the one creator God and what happens after death?

Some claim we are suspended in the heavens, another says that if we kill ourselves for the cause men will get one-hundred virgins and still others claim that there is a half-way point or being good we will be on cloud nine for Eternity?

All of these ideas and concepts are wrong, because they are not mentioned in the Holy bible! We must first see our fallen condition and seek God for His forgiveness, then we must change our attitude towards Him and try not to return to our old ways?

We Choose?

It is easy to blame all the evil and bad in the world on the Devil, when the truth has more to do with our own human choices? Jesus told the people in ear shot of Him that it was a mans heart that was were the origins of our own actions stem from!

It does not matter how many rules you think you can keep, or the way you choose to live, meditate, use different ways to form your lifestyle? Sin will always get in the way, our inherited condition will allow us to choose from a selfish standpoint, from lust, desires and what we want?

On the other hand we claim to have faith in the death of Jesus on the cross/stake/tree for our sins and forgiveness and His resurrection from the dead into our New Life? Then we are daily challenged with how to apply love to those who hate us and try to us either physical or mental harm!

Repairing the Genome!

British geneticist’s have made the breakthrough that they have been seeking for years, this will allow for the healing of many rare illnesses? In years to come, dementia, Parkinson’s and many other similar illnesses will be cured in both the old and even those still in the womb?

But what is not known in relation to other problems occurring at this stage and of the next generation, is still to be discovered? There will still be many limitations to this new breakthrough, because of moral and religious ethics?

Some will see this as looking backwards or living in the past? But we still need to be wise in what science is achieving, because this is the open door to the commercialism of designer babies!

Wars and Corruption!

They perhaps have observed us over a time period and seen that we do not seem to learn from our past mistakes of both corruption and having wars? Humanity cannot learn to end Genocide, as much as a fight between drunks outside a pub or at a match?

If they are out their, they will be aware that we have a mechanism within us that cannot be cured by our own trying to do good and perhaps they too are aware of sin? Since the Holy Bible tells us that when Adam and Eve sinned, so did all of creation fall!

They too would have a similar religious theology and would to be aware of this heavenly collapse, because what ever they call their god they would know that he created everything!

Prisoner or Free?

Where are we today with God? Are we still in the world of darkness and sin or have we seen our need to repent and turn to Jesus and be set Free? it is our will and our selfishness that controls our lives, but it is Satan who is our real Master?

If we glimpse that need that we need to get right with God, then we must act upon it to seek Him and know that we are forgiven! Jesus died for us, not because we deserved it but rather that God could by us back to him through the blood of the final atonement!

The choices lay with us, wither we choose today or deny and face tomorrow in Eternal Damnation, separated from God Eternally?

The Holy Spirit.

The world cannon fathom what the Holy Spirit of God is about, yet many people who are born-again of that Spirit have made a dramatic decision for God and change for the best!

We knew them as swearing and wild living, they liked the course jest, but know they are more focused and clean to be with? One could say, ‘That they have a walk in their step,’ nothing like what they were!

Is this a psychological change and why?

It is a change of mental attitudes, but it was not brought on by ones own will but by the power of God! This is like faith it is believing in things unseen, but knowing they are there!

Acts Chapter 2,  Joel 2:28-32,  Hebrews 11:1-3.
