My Valentine. Part-One.

Love and Sex.

Today people are claiming that they are born the way they are, the killer, the Gay, selfish, good?

But this is nothing new for if you read the book of Ecclesiastes  ‘Nothing is new under the Sun.’

This is the truth, humanity is in the circle or cycle of Sin. God does not forbid us to love, we can love our cat and dog or other pet, we can love people, even of the same sex.

But we cannot have sex with our cat or dog, man or woman, that is outside normal relations between a man and woman.

Everything that is not within His order is evil and abhorrent to Him.

Seeds and Grass.

God Provides for Us.

The bible tells us that it is God who made the world and everything in it. We do not really know if it was created in six days or millions of years. Perhaps one day we will discover that the whole solar system and other planets, if we ever get to another star were all made at around the same time!   Psalm 104:14.

God gave to us grass for animals and cattle to eat, He also gave humans seeds, herbs and grasses, so that they could sow them and produce crops. Today there is much famine and economic failure, along with wars and displacement of people because of natural disasters.

Multi-national argriculture companies are monopolising on the supply of seeds now to impoverished parts of the world, they are genetically modifying them to be clones. This means that despite them having great survival potential, they cannot produce seeds as a natural plant would.

So the price rises and governments are blackmailed to change policies to suit Western ways of thinking.

Zyclone-B. Part-Two.

Denial and Revisionism.

We know that there are many historians across the globe who write lies about the events of the Nazi-Holocaust/Ha’Shoah.  It is theywho have chosen to follow their own path and beliefs, but the dangers of their denial also includes what they believe after 1945?

There have been many wars and Genocides since 1945, Cambodia, China, Rwanda and Burundi. Now we have these recent conflicts in iraq, Egypt, Israel, Libya and Syria. What kind of Revisionism and denial is now being written today to suit certain agendas.

What do we as Born again believers in Jesus do!  Will we just sit on the fence and say nothing, will we refuse to speak out and act as many of our brothers and sisters did in Nazi-Germany, until it was too late?

Hebrews 13:6,   1 Peter 3:14-15.

‘I Have a Dream.’ Part-Two.

Rosa Parks.

The little ordinary people are the ones who make history and start movements. Rosa Parks was an ordinary black lady, who refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man. Thus was born the Civil Rights Movement in America,

That movement inspired the troubles in N-Ireland, Aparthied in South-Africa and many other conflicts world-wide.

God calls people to believe in Him, through His Son Jesus and yet it is many ‘Christian based societies around the world, who practice Racism, Segregation and Sectarianism.

They claim to follow the bible and the teachings of Jesus and yet they are the first to be anti-Jewish and form groups such as the Ku Klux Klan to intimidate and drive out or suppress those they feel are inferior to them.

Psalm 27:3,   46:2,   Proverbs 3:7,   Malachi 3:5,   Matthew 10:26,   Luke 8:50,    Hebrews 13:6,   1 Peter 3:14, Revelation 2:10.

‘I have a Dream! Part-One.

Dr. Martin Luther King.

These are perhaps the most profound words spoken in the 20th Century and now it would seem that they have been fulfilled?  It is some times hard to believe that black people in Britain and the US are still considered not fully accepted into society today.

Racism and segregation continue, perhaps more in Europe than it does anywhere else in the ‘Christian world. One could include Australia and New Zealand to, who have problems with allowing the native peoples there own rights in their own countries.

The Sin in our hearts is great, we tend to think of lies, theft, selfishness and seek to get right with God. Yet we are not able to see the plight and oppression of our neighbours?

Exodus 22:7-11,  Psalm 15:3,    Matthew 5:43,    Luke 10:29.

Zyclone-B. Part-One.

Chemical Weapons.

We hear much today about the use of chemical weapons in Syria and how Saddam Hussein used them against the Kurds. But the use of gas and vapours is nothing new, we tend to think that they were invented for World War-1 (1914-18).

Zyclone-B was used by Nazi-Germany to kill 1.2 million people in World War-II (1938-45), of which 960,000 were Jewish.

Vapour gas and acids in the form of Prussiac acid or Prussian blue was placed on the Bayonets of German infantrymen fighting in the Napolionic invasion of 1813.

Mans hearts are evil, depite the claims by many that Humanity is good. We see the ager of Sin in us rise in issues of national identity and immigration.

Judges 12:6,  Matthew 26:73,   Mark 14:70,   Job 24:24,   Hebrews 10:22-23.

Stephen.

The first Christian Martyr.  Acts 6:5-8:3.

Today we hear daily in our media reports of the deaths of Christians in Iraq, Syria and Egypt. But many more die across the globe in China, India, the Muslim world, tribal and political violence in Africa and South-America.

Meanwhile Christians die in the Britain and the U.S.A. for their faith, or good deeds. The world does not love us, because we do not continue to tell lies and live in the darkness. We are alive within the New Life, that the Holy Spirit of God is within us. We will be honest and tell the truth. We will also help those in need, in the world and in the Church and not find escuses to justify Sin.

Stephen was murdered by Libertarians not because he had a faith in God, but because he spoke a truth that  they did not want to hear. We will be persecuted and some of us may go home, but even if we are attacked, provoked we must learn to forgive and not react.

Ephesians 4:23, 32,   Colossians 3:10,   Hebrews 12:24,   1 Peter 1:4,   1 John 2:9,   Revelation 3:12.

Merry Christmas.

What are we eating this ‘Christmas?

In a few days from now many people across the globe will be sitting down in families or alone to eat a meal that celebrates the birth of the baby Jesus. But what will we be eating!

For most of the year people are concerned about food and what makes up what we eat. Is our meat, fish, vedge, dairy and fruit coming from a safe source or is it free range.

There is a committed trade or production every year set in motion, after the holidays to prepare for the next. Christmas seasonal food is produced enmass and it is made a the cheapest cost and dressed up. ‘One could say it was carboard made to look nice.

Please enjoy your celebrations, but don’t eat to much of it and try not to be greedy either.

Proverbs 23:19-21,  28:6-9,  Titus 1:12.

Christmas. Part-Four,

An Astronomical Event.

Scientists think that they can prove the event of the explosion of a giant supernova star occuring around the time of the birth of Jesus and they also believe it was a prominent feature in the skies of the middle-east for over one year.

The prophet Daniel knew about it long before the event and Baalim also knew about it much further back still. Daniel had great sway over the Babylonian court of his day and it was from these men that the Magi came, setting out from Persia to Israel to find the King of the Jews.

But baby Jesus came as a humble servant to this lost world, to save us from our sins. That is what Christmas and Easter are all about, the celebration of a promised birth and the death and resurrection of a Savior.

Numbers 24:17,   Daniel 6:25-28,   Matthew 2:1-12.

God bless you this speacial season and may you come to know these truths as we do.

Christmas. Part-Three.

For the lonely.

Many people make a point to miss out on ‘Christmas, because it is not a time for them due to lonliness and the feelings of rejection. That is one of the reasons the angels appeared to the shephers in the fields, the other that the ancestor of Jesus was King Davis. David started out as a shepherd.

This Christmas our challenge should be to look out for the lonley in community and Church, even within our own family groups. Christmas is a time to put aside our differences. Charles Dickens ‘Christmas Carol has old Scrooge being welcomed by his nephew.

1 Samuel 16:7-13,    Luke 2:8-20.
