A time to Love.

Saint valentines Day.

You might say to me what has this to do with being a Christian?

The world by tradition emphasies romantic love, associated with marriage and courting?

But the twenty two men with the same name, were all associated with putting the love of Jesus into daily practice at cost. They like millions of other believers have laid a foundation for us to keep following as we walk daily with God.

There is so much suffering all around us, come on you cannot say,’What does God want me to do?

Galatians 5:24-26,   Philemon 8-10,  1 John 3:16.

Birth of the great Shepherd. Part-Two.

A God who Cares.

Jesus came to die for us, because God cares for us. He cares for those in need and the poor, He is able to use others to inspire them to service and us to who believe in Him.

The world is full of do gooders, who moan about why? why? does God not do this and that, stop so and so?

God does not fit in our pockets, it is rather we who believe in Him fit into His.

Psalm 72:9-12,  John 3:15-17,  1 Corinthians 2:10.

Love is Kind. Part-Two.

Patience.

Perhaps one of the hardest conditions to attain for anyone, but one that is commanded by God for us to have.  Patience is the key to the application of love, because we all make mistakes, are selfish from time to time and we have to learn to forgive and forget.

Jesus does not want us to hold things, that we hurt us. Seeing how others are evil and seem to get away with it, instead we must learn to be patient as God our Father is with us everyday of this side of Eternity.

Psalm 37:7-9,  2 Corinthians 6:4-6,  Galatians 6:9,  James 1:3-4.

We have the oppertunity in these next 24-hours to apply real love and concern for others, showing that we really do care.

Immigration. Part-Three.

Orphans and Widows.

We tend to make very quick assumptions and judgements in relation to immigrants coming into the UK, without caring to examining first the issues in their own lands that have lead them to come here.

We also tend to ignore that there are orphaned children and widows and because of this we find blanket statements, of indifference and arrogance to reject victims as scroungers.  What we do in reality is  fail to want to admit to ourselves is all the waste in our own society and communities of lazy people, who refuse to do the dirty jobs that immigrants will do?

Exodus 22:22,   Job 31:16-17,  James 1:27.
