Its one hundred years since the end of World War-I (1914-18), ‘The wars to end all wars? But the truth was it was the beginning of a new age in warfare with the introduction of many new things, radio communications, mustered gas, flamethrowers and the tank!

It was also the age of the first use of aerial combat from ‘Dog fighting to bombing raids, by German airships over London and all gentlemanly of course!

What was gained was enough knowledge for world war-II (1939-45), were eugenics was fulfilled in the Nazi Holocaust and new atomics and rocketry  were also part of the new culmination of wars!

God wants us believers to really remember those who went before us and to see what he has done for us in redeeming us back to Him through Jesus! To understand that we have a precious salvation and the promise of an eternal life with Him!

Zyclone-B. Part-One.

Chemical Weapons.

We hear much today about the use of chemical weapons in Syria and how Saddam Hussein used them against the Kurds. But the use of gas and vapours is nothing new, we tend to think that they were invented for World War-1 (1914-18).

Zyclone-B was used by Nazi-Germany to kill 1.2 million people in World War-II (1938-45), of which 960,000 were Jewish.

Vapour gas and acids in the form of Prussiac acid or Prussian blue was placed on the Bayonets of German infantrymen fighting in the Napolionic invasion of 1813.

Mans hearts are evil, depite the claims by many that Humanity is good. We see the ager of Sin in us rise in issues of national identity and immigration.

Judges 12:6,  Matthew 26:73,   Mark 14:70,   Job 24:24,   Hebrews 10:22-23.

War. Part-Two.

Remembrance Sunday.

On the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th November 1918 the first World War of the 20th Century ended. Million of British and allied soldiers had died, in what seemed a pointless war. Twenty years later over 100 million people would die in another World War (1939-45). The first world war saw the introduction of the tank and the use of mustered gas. the second would see mass areal bombing, missiles and atomic weapons.

Thousands of veterans will walk through central London on Sunday morning and our Queen Elizabeth-II will lay wreaths to the fallen. Among the dead are the 12 million civilian’s Jews and Chinese who died in work and death camps, some being medically experimented on.

Jesus told His followers not to be worried about wars, because they were inevitable. Mark 13:7

The condition of our hearts are selfish and sinful. Romans 3:23, 6:23.

At the end we need to know on Judgement Day were we will be standing with God.   John 3:16-21,   Acts 4:12.
