The Blood. Two.

Resurrection, not Re-incarnation!

Jesus physically died and in the same way rose from the grave with the marks of His execution, we know this because of doubting Thomas wanting to see the holes in His hands!

Jesus appeared to Mary the former prostitute in the garden, He appeared to His Disciples, to the men travelling to Emmaus and over 500 people said they saw and met with Him over the forty days between His rising and Ascension back into Heaven.

Jesus was not reincarnated he was the same person on human form and when he returns all who brought those marks on Him will see Him marred.

John 20:26-28,   Galatians 6:17,   1 Peter 1:8,   Revelation 1:7.

Death and Resurrection. Part-One.

Destiny.

Jesus knew from before He was born in human flesh to the Virgin Mary, that He was destined to die. This is because He was the promised Messiah, first to His own race Israel and then to all in the world who would believe by faith in His works.  Luke chapter 2.

Jesus made it a point to tell His Disciples that he was going up to Jerusalem and on the third day He would arise from the grave.  Matthew 16:21, 17:23, 20:19, Luke 9:22, 13:32, 18:33.

Jesus had to shed His blood, for without blood there can be no removal of sin. Jesus was the perfect man who did not sin, co that He fulfilled the Jewish legal requirements. Hebrews 9:22.

Christmas. Part-Two.

Keeping Focused.

The centre of Christmas is not Santa, Snowmen, Teddy bears or any other ideas and concepts. It is the birth of the baby Jesus, the Son of God. Mary and Joseph were the earthly parents of God in the flesh of a human. Jesus was born into Mary without her having sexual relations with a man.

That is the natural order of life with humans, instead the bible tells us that the Holt Spirit hovered over her and that is how the egg in her womb was fertilized. Many people find this hard to believe and yet today we have artificial insemination, first for animals and now all over the world for couples who find it hard to concieve.

Jesus was like all babies, in his actions of crying, wetting ect. But still he was perfect, the only perfect baby ever.

Luke 1:30-38,  1:35.

Virgin Birth. Part-Three.

‘Don’t be afraid!

We are twice told in the story of the birth of Jesus by Angels not to be afraid. It is a natural thing for humans to be afraid, when something happens that we do not understand. Joseph was perplexed, confused, when he found his wife to be Mary pregnant. Matthew 1:20.  The Shepherds out in the fields were startled by the appearance of Angels in the middle of the night.  Luke 2:8-20.

But look at the contrast here to the paranoid king Herod, what did he do with his fear?  Matthew 1:16-18,  Jeremiah 31:15.
