Many people refuse to believe that slavery is well and alive today and is on their doorstep? Many communities practice slavery or domestic servitude, taking advantage of vulnerable people and others in dire circumstances!
Nearly every town and city has tens to thousands in bondage, locked up behind closed doors and many who never see the light of day especially woman! We are hearing much know about Islamic State and the selling of woman from men to men, but this also goes on quietly in many other lands Muslim and not!
Humanity has many issues with sin and with abusing each other, slavery is cheap labour that Chinese, travelling community gangs take advantage off, while Arabic and Africans abuse domestic servants!
