Christmas Preparations?

Most people share across the Monotheistic Divide!

December 1st and 2nd is the Jewish festival of the dedication of the Temple that covers nine days and nine presents, then comes Latin Christmas 24th December to 26th, followed by the Eastern Orthodox, after the New Year 31st to 1st January, 1st to 7th and last of all the Armenian and some Coptic’s the 19th of January!

Islam marks the birth of the great Prophet Jesus/Isa around the same times as Christians do, but for them he means nothing more and for some fanatics they can always find and excuse to murder ordinary people?

But the facts of Christmas are slowly being eroded in western society by black Friday commercialism, and the essential message of Jesus the Saviour of the world coming in human flesh and born of the virgin seems to be lost?

Isaiah 9:6-7,   43:11,  Luke 1:28-36,   2:11,   John 4:42,   Acts 4:12,   13:23,    Titus 3:4.

Religious Sects. Part-Two.

Religion verses Spirituality!

Cults and sects are based on the control of one or a few people, who have control over a number bigger than themselves. Every religion on the planet has this problem, some groups within the Christian name tag fold, claim they had to break away from the mainstream?

In some cases the formation of new denominations came about by a new revelation, but this are not new sects!

Cults and sects are identified by the leadership claiming they have the truth that no one else has, because their leader has been given a special revelation. This revelation is manifested in their absolute control and their authority cannon be questioned.

Variations on the scripture, ‘Touch not the anointed,’ is played upon to get their freedom to exploit the membership.

Judges 17:5,  1 Samuel 24:6,  10, Colossians 2:7-8,  18,  2 Peter 2:1.

Easter. Part-Four.

‘Nailed.’

They took him out and beat Him, the Roman soldiers mocked Him, then they forced Him to carry His stake to the place outside the city of Jerusalem. There He was nailed to a cross bar and lifted up on to the stake, one either side of Him were two murderers, thieves. They even joined in the mockery, but one recanted and asked the Messiah for mercy.  Matthew 27:27-56,   Mark 15:16-41,   Luke 23:26-49,   John 19:16-37.

Jesus promised he would be in glory with Him soon.  Luke 23:42-43.

Where will you be this Easter as you eat your chocolate eggs? Will you continue to join the crowds mocking and laughing at Jesus? Will you continue in your empty traditions of even going to ‘Church?’

Or will you finally see yourself, change your attitudes and walk with Him, not looking back?  John 6:29,   Romans 10:9,   Amos 5:4.
